Thousands of Palestinian Prisoners Are On Hunger Strike

More than a thousand Palestinian prisoners are on hunger strike while being held in Israeli prisons under brutal conditions. On today’s show we’ll speak with our correspondent, the long-time Palestinian rights activist Huwaida Arraf about it. And, California Governor Jerry Brown has just pardoned 3 deported US military veterans. Among them is my guest Hector Barajas whose case we’ve been following over the years. Barajas runs the Deported Veterans Support House in Tijuana and he’ll be joining us from across the border. Finally, lawyer and editor Leslie Klinger will discuss a new book he has co-edited called Anatomy of Innocence: Testimonies of the Wrongfully Convicted. Klinger paired up well-known mystery writers with exonerees to tell their stories.
