The Parkland massacre survivors have received wide spread support for their call for gun control. And while that development is wholly welcomed by progressive activists, some in the Black Lives Matter movement have asked the painful question of why Black youth were not shown the same level of support when they draw attention to police and gun violence. On our show today we’ll turn to our correspondent Chenjerai Kumanyika to dig into these complex issues. Then, Stacy Mitchell of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance has issued a strong warning in her new piece in The Nation about the dominance of the entire marketplace that Amazon has planned and why it’s not good for the economy or society.
