The chief executives of some of the largest oil companies testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform committee in a first-of-its-kind hearing over the fossil fuel industry’s role in spreading disinformation to block climate action. Co-chairing the hearing: South Bay representative Ro Khanna, and New York representative Carolyn Maloney. They’ll be refereeing questions from a 47-member committee that includes most of the young progressives known as “The Squad.” We bring you the hearing live, along with reaction and analysis during the breaks.
