We start today’s show with our weekly State Terror Roundup.
Then, we’re in conversation with Danielle Bernstein, a public defender and writer in New York City with a background in innocence work, who is uncovering some of the gendered challenges in exonerating wrongly incarcerated women in this country. The challenges include outdated stereotypes, and convictions for crimes that never occurred.
