Today’s program includes Noticias, news from the Americas; and a discussion of narco -vigilantes on both sides of the US/Mexican border and the film “Cartlel Land.”  We hear from the first Chicana mystery series writer, Lucha Corpi sharing excerpts from her memoir, “Confessions of a Book Burner.” and a conversation about the Sol collective in Sacramento featuring Latino artists and images. We also offer listeners a chance to win tickets to the Peruvian Indie-pop duo Alejandro y Maria Laura & Edna Vazquez in concert, on Saturday, July 25 at the Mission Cultural Center.
