Immigration Fight Heats Up over TPS and Dreamers

The Trump administration has announced an end to Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands of nationals from El Salvador residing in the US. The move is the latest anti-immigrant attack, coming at a time when a spending-bill related fight over the fate of Dreamers is heating up. We’ll turn to Christine Neumann-Ortiz today for more – she’s with the group Voces De La Frontera. Then Lisa Fujie Parks of the Prevention Institute will join us to discuss how we as a society can prevent sexual violence and harassment especially in the wake of the #MeToo phenomenon and the Golden Globes show of support. Finally, David Arkush of Public Citizen will expose just how little the media did to connect last year’s hurricanes and wildfires to climate change in a new report called Carbon Omission. Hosted by Sonali Kolhatkar.
