 “ZEPHANIAH”
There is a new documentary film being directed by Robert ” Fleetwood” Bowden entitled ZEPHANIAH, and it is based on embracing the responsibilities of fatherhood and the joy that comes with the journey.  In the project, Fleetwood will take an in-depth look into the relationship between a father and his toddler daughter.  He will also explore why so many fathers abandon their children, and how the system plays a part in separating households.  This documentary film also takes time out to salute and honor single mothers, while paying homage to them for maintaining the households of America and raising our future.  The goal of this film is to ignite a fire in fathers whom have abandoned their children and give them the desire to reunite with their children. Another goal of this documentary film is to thank the fathers who stuck around to raise their children, even if the parents weren’t able to remain together as a couple.  This is a healing project for a wound that cuts deeply into the households of so many communities.

This project is filled with the truth, and the truth doesn’t lie.  This is a film focused on love and our future, while stressing the fact that we need strong willed men to raise our sons and guide our daughters.  This documentary will create discussion and encourage outreach, which can only end up in the reunion of a family and an increase of strength within our community.

Director’s Statement – Robert “Fleetwood” Bowden
About a year ago, I did something crazy. I actually listened to the little voice in my head that kept whispering, “It’s time to make a documentary.” The thought found it’s way to my vocal chords, and then slipped out into the world with a frightening and bold proclamation: I am going to make a documentary. Once the words were on the loose, there was no turning back.
After a 20 year career in the music business, and self publishing two national best selling books i knew it was time to upgrade my art once again .Now it was time to attack the visual presentation of the entertainment business. My first was about  a beautiful rose as it grows from the  concrete  teh story of a girls high school basketball team from Oakland ,CA entitled “I JUST WANNA BALL”. Now i’m back to embark on my third project our  hope is to use this film as a healing tool and ignite a fire in our fathers worldwide to reunite with their children and at the same time salute and honor the single mothers who have been raising our future.
