Cloth of a Community: Tongan tapa-making and traditonal songs on Apex! A rare chance to hear voices from a growing Pacific Islander community and to learn about a still vibrant cloth-making art-form being presented by Calif. College of Arts this spring. And, LSL: Laotian-as-a-second language is part of actor Ova Saopeng’s performance. He’ll talk about this on Apex as well as what it’s like to be a refugee and a Laotian performer in the US, plus present a part of his show to be performed at Locus Arts later this week. Also, sounds and voices of the API anti-war contingent. Plus music, calendar and more.
