The 16th Annual Malcolm X Jazz Arts Festival was back in Oakland’s San Antonio Park to celebrate the legacy of Malcolm X. The event featured three stages of live music, dance, graffiti arts, a vendors’ corner, food and more. First Voice Media was on hand to capture the sounds of the celebration.

Hear what’s happening with new organizations like Black Men for Bernie. Listen to legendary members of the Black Panthers talk about 50 years of community service. And no celebration is complete without great music. KPFA’s very own multi-talented Avotja and Modupue inspired everyone with her music and poetry. It’s all here for you to enjoy tonight at 7 p.m. on Full Circle. Don’t miss it!
