Cal State University professor Jonathan Caravello was arrested and jailed on felony charges in July 2025 for “using a deadly or dangerous weapon” in an alleged assault on a federal officer. Caravello was arrested following an ICE raid where a 57 year-old Jaime Alanis Garcia was chased by ICE agents before falling 30 feet onto concrete. What happened that fateful day?
