Rising Up With Sonali

Fault Lines in the Constitution

The electoral college, voter suppression, gerrymandering, filibusters, deportations, incarceration, unequal pay, a healthcare crisis and more – these are only some of the many issues that plague the United States and our government. On today’s show we’ll examine the root causes that are actually embedded in our own Constitution. My guest will be Sanford Levinson joining us to discuss a new book he has co-authored called Fault Lines in the Constitution: The Framers, Their Fights, and the Flaws That Affect Us Today. Then, we’ll turn to actor Danny Pudi about his new film, The Tiger Hunter. The film, set in the 1970s is a warm and lighthearted look at a serious issue – immigrants in the US and their search for the American Dream.
