The Richmond City Council has been an inspiration to progressives around the Bay Area and the country because of the electoral advances of the Richmond Progressive Alliance (RPA) and its allies in Richmond.
The results of November’s election saw the RPA experience some of its first losses since 2012. There are currently no women and only one Latino on the city council of a city that is 40% Latino. What happened and what does this mean for the progressive agenda in Richmond?
We will have Richmond City Council Member, Eduardo Martinez to reflect on this and share some insights as to the path forward for Progressives. All of this and some very cool music.
