Anna Deavere Smith is the playwright and performer of several works of documentary theater, including Twilight Los Angeles 1992 and Let Me Down Easy. She is also a television and film actor. Her latest work, Notes from the Field: Doing Time in Education, the California Chapter, can be seen at Berkeley Rep from July 11th through August 2nd.
