APEX Express – September 12, 2019

A weekly magazine-style radio show featuring the voices and stories of Asians and Pacific Islanders from all corners of our community. The show is produced by a collective of media makers, deejays, and activists.

Tonight on APEX, hosts, Miko Lee and Jalena Keane-Lee, the PowerLeeGirls, a mother and daughter team focus on empowering API women. They interview the creators and keynote speaker from the upcoming I’m Ready Conference. Dr. Connie Wun, Killer Bi Nguyen, and Pamela Kong share stories about building a movement of leadership and strength.

Saturday September 21, Shattuck Cinema at 1:30pm.  Host Miko Lee will be moderating a panel for Justin Chon’s new film Ms. Purple. Both the filmmaker and his star Tiffany Chu will join Miko in conversation following the screening.

September 12–October 27, The Great Wave at Berkeley Rep

October 4-27 Kearny Street workshop presents the 20th annual Apature festival which features APA artists at sites all around the Bay Area.
