8/23/21 Coping with Cancer

In 2020, an estimated 1.8 million new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States alone. That means that just under 40 percent of us will develop cancer at some point in our lives, with breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer topping the list of the most common diagnoses. Although each type of cancer is different, carrying with it unique challenges, there’s an important commonality: Living with cancer is one of the most stressful and emotionally difficult experiences anyone can face. In this episode, host David B. Feldman interviews Elizabeth Cohn Stuntz, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, cancer survivor, and co-author of the book Coping with Cancer: DBT Skills to Manage Your Emotions and Balance Uncertainty with Hope.
