The upcoming contract expiration between thousands of  transit workers and the BART and AC Board of Directors. Part of their contract issue is around the issue of healthcare benefits for transit workers under the Affordable Care Act.
Interview with Dot Gibson from London about the new film “The Spirit of ‘45” by working class film maker Ken Loach which will be premiering in San Francisco. The film discusses the nationalization of Transportation, Coal, Healthcare and other public services after the 2nd world war.
Also an update on the general strike in Turkey with the leader of DISK and an update on labor and the Netroots conference in San Jose.
We also look at a new labor photography show opening up in San Francisco City Hall on the workers who built the Eastern Span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge.
We interview labor process photographer Joseph Blum who has spent 15 years on this work.
