Spring is here, and tasty delights are sprouting up in gardens across the Bay. In the spirit of this seasonal rebirth, today we talk with Ashel Eldridge of S.O.S. Juice, Kay Cuajunco of The People’s Kitchen, and Navinna Khanna of Live Real. They are three local trailblazers in a growing network of individuals and organizations rethinking and revamping the food system to make it more ecological, wholesome, and just. The emphasis is on organizing within diverse urban communities and building solidarity with farm workers to expose the fundamental flaws of industrial agriculture, while nurturing homegrown solutions.
