An interview with Oren Yiftachel, the professor of geography at the University of Ben-Gurion in Israel. He talks about the issue of identity and political ramification of building the apartheid wall. He also touches on the self perception of Israeli people and the issue of one state solution.

This is the second time Professor Oren Yiftachel is featured on Voices From the Middle East & North Africa show. Barmak from the MERP collective talked with Mr. Yiftachel about the issues surrounding identity, national belonging, living with the “other” and the state of Israel in general.

The second part features the famous Israeli poet Dan Almagor, his poetry, vision and humanism. His poetry is introduced and explained in the introduction. The poems are read by theater performer Ali in his contribution to the Middle East Radio Project.
