Ethan Miller and Isaiah Mitchell, the singer-guitarists of the Bay Area band Howlin Rain perform live in the KPFA studio. The newest Howlin Rain album, The Russian Wilds, is a loud (but nuanced) epic romp through ’70s hard rock styles. Playing acoustic guitars, Miller (also known for his work in Comets on Fire) and Mitchell will highlight their band’s songcraft and vocals. The Rain plays an all-ages show at The Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on Friday, August 17.
