Composer, violinist, vocalist Carla Kihlstedt, known for her work in Tin Hat, visits with Derk Richardson in the Hear & Now, with musical samples of her new production, Necessary Monsters, a dramatic song cycle for seven musicians and a narrator, coming to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on July 29th and 30th.
