Terra Verde

Jeffrey Weidenhamer and Michael Clement, chemists at Ashland University in Ohio, have examined the composition of children’s jewelry and key chains made in China and determined that some contained toxics that probably originated in e-waste from the U.S. We are joined by Sarah Westervelt of Basel Action Network and Steve Lautze, of the city of Oakland, to talk about Bay Area toxics returning to the sender. Pratap Chatterjee hosts.
