We bring you a great hour of Musica de Puerto Rico as an effort to showcase the local live performances taking place in the Bay Area. The following are the highlights of an event that took place a few months ago from La Pena titled: "For The Love of Tradition /La Bomba es Nuestra."

Bomba is Puerto Rico’s oldest community music and dance tradition.

This performance includes the Bomberas de la bahia and special guests from P.R., Chicago & NYC. We start with the featured poetry by someone who is no stranger to KPFA, writer, performer, hip hop theater artist, poetic activist, and community healer Aya de Leon.
