Lisa Dettmer talks to local artist Maya Gonzalez, children’s book author Amada Irma Perez and Patricia Zendejas Villasenor from San Francisco’s Children’s Book Press about some of their new multicultural books for children. And Kate Raphael talks to the founder’s of the Women’s Tent – a traveling women’s gathering that seeks to unite women through spirtuality, ritual theater and psychodrama. These women, Ibtisam Mohammed, an Israeli Palestinian, and Dorit Bat-Shalom, an Israeli Jew, are also the writer’s and performers of the theatrical collage "By The Well of Sara and Hagar " touring the country, a sharing of the journey of two women, a Muslim and a Jew.
