Ritmo de las Americas with guest host Eddy Pay will focus on Tango and Samba starting at 7 pm. Featured artists include jazz and tango pianist Pablo Ziegler. This will be a preview to his forthcoming concert as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival. Parisian resident bandeonista Cesar Stroscio and his group Esquina fine tribute cd to one of the 20th century best illustrators Hugo Pratt will also be featured. Pratt’s Corto Maltese adventure "Tango" is the inspiration for this recording. The legendary Carioca singer/composer Marcos Sacramento whose music has made an impact in Europe but has yet to be discovered here in the United States will round out this special program. There will be selections from his "Memoravel Samba", "Fossa Nova" and the out of print "A Modernidade da Tradicao".
