Women’s Magazine – September 4, 2006

This Monday, September 4th, the Women’s Magazine on KPFA radio will celebrate women workers on Labor Day. We interview the directors of the film "Maquilapolis" showing at the Madcat Women’s Film Festival on September 21st, a film about the struggle of Mexican women to gain basic workplace rights. And we will speak to Leticia Hernandez about the spoken word event "Tu Propio Mundo," a night of women’s words and performance at the Galeria de La Raza, this September 9th. Lastly, we talk to labor activist and folk singer Anne Feeney about her music, the labor movement and her new CD.
