Hello everyone,

It’s election season at Pacifica, too!

Are you interested in helping build a vibrant, democratically governed alternative media?

Your Local Station Board needs YOU.

Nominations are open for nine Listener positions on your Local Station Board. If you are interested in becoming a candidate for one of the Listener positions, please visit elections.pacifica.org and click on the Candidate Nomination Packet page. Nominations close on June 30, 2016 at 9:00pm, your local time.

You will be directed to create a Candidate Entry on our website, which will allow you to directly enter your candidate statement(s) and answer the optional questionnaire, and more. Please note, as soon as you download the Candidate Nomination Packet you will be subject to the Fair Campaign Provisions outlined in your packet and available to read here.

The Election Calendar is as follows. All times are based on the local time of the station involved:

• Candidate Nomination Period: June 1 (9:00am) – June 30, 2016 (9:00pm)
• Voter Date of Record: June 30, 2016 (11:59pm)
• Ballots Mailed/Online Voting Begins: August 15, 2016 (9:00am)
• Ballot Return Deadline/Online Voting Ends: September 30, 2016 (11:59pm)

Note: you must be a member in good standing by June 30, 2016 in order to be a candidate, and vote in the election.
