Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007), interviewed in 1991 by Richard Wolinsky and Richard A. Lupoff. In 1991, while on tour for his collection of essays, “Fates Worse Than Death,” Kurt Vonnegut Jr. stopped in the KPFA studios to speak with the hosts of the “Probabilities” program about his work, his career, and his feelings about life and politics. March 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the publication of :”Slaughterhouse-Five.”

Spencer Liff, choregrapher and Jordan Roth, producer of the musical “Falsettos,” in conversation with host Richard Wolinsky. The National Tour of the Lincoln Center production of “Falsettos” is at SHN’s Golden Gate Theatre through April 14th. Spencer Liff was a child performer on Broadway and has previously choreographed revivals of “Spring Awakening” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” on Broadway, and Jordan Roth is the president of Jujamcyn theatres, and previously produced “Bruce Springsteen on Broadway,” “Mean Girls”, the 2018 “Angels in America” revival, and other shows.

James Lapine, director, and William Finn, composer/lyricist of the musical “Falsettos,” in conversation with host Richard Wolinsky. James Lapine is the Tony Award winning director of such shows as “Sunday in the Park with George” and “Into The Woods.” William Finn won a Tony for “Falsettos,”and his other hit musical was “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

Mfoniso Udofia is one of America’s fastest rising playwrights. A second-generation Nigerian-American, plays in her Ufot family cycle have been performed in New York, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. “Her Portmanteau” plays at the ACT Strand through March 31st, and “In Old Age” opens in previews at the Magic Theatre on March 27th. She is interviewed by Richard Wolinsky.
