The first portion of today’s program is devoted to a discussion of a cooperative enterprise involving Project Censored and a European media watch group, the News Enlightenment Initiative (NEI) of Germany. The product of the ‘joint endeavor’ was an multinational panel of journalism judges which then compiled a Project Censored-style list of most-censored international news stories. These results were presented at a conference last month in Bonn. Mickey’s guests describe the process involved, and analyze the most-censored stories.
Then an update on the Julian Assange case, including a warning that the extradition of Assange from the U.K. to the U.S. may happen within weeks.
