Within just a few short months, the Covid-19 pandemic has transformed just about every facet of our society. That includes our food system, where the multiple impacts of the crisis are impossible to ignore. It’s changed how we shop for our groceries, how we think about the food we eat, and how we think about food waste. It’s altered how farmers sell and distribute their crops. It has decimated the restaurant industry, and has put essential workers, including food processing workers and farmworkers, at risk. And as unemployment soars during the crisis, it has amplified existing inequalities and insecurities in our system
