Ooh They Mad (OTM) is a weekly show presented in a podcast format, bringing the cultural relevance and dynamism of podcasts to terrestrial radio.
OTM is anchored by three Bay Area natives: Chris Riggins, a professional comedian; Paris Warr aka Computr Blu, a sex educator and cultural worker; and DJ Sake One, a professional DJ. The show incorporates analysis of current events and trends, both local and national, using humor and popular culture to deepen and broaden appeal. The show’s ultimate goal is to transform how our listeners interpret and understand the world, while infusing humor and culture into current pop culture and political discourse.
This week, Oakland’s own Boots Riley from seminal rap group the Coup, and director of award-winning film “Sorry to Bother You,” stops by OTM to talk Bay Area cultural history, artistic process, and balancing creative work and creative expression.
