Legendary musician, songwriter, Sly Stone, of the iconic Sly & The Family Stone, has passed away at age 82.
Sly Stone, born Sylvester Stewart on March 15th 1943, was a major factor in American music, known for his lead role in the groundbreaking band Sly & The Family Stone. Sly went from a radio DJ and record producer to a music icon, influencing rock, soul, funk, hip-hop and more.
