Join KPFA for the launch of the national Journey to Justice Bus Tour and the book Ending Isolation: The Case Against Solitary Confinement (Pluto Press, 2025). Featuring authors Dr. Terry Kupers, Deborah Zalesne, and Chris Blackwell (calling in from prison), with a special remote appearance by Angela Y. Davis. Hosted by Cat Brooks (Law & Disorder).

Explore the Journey to Justice bus, a mobile exhibit with VR, a model solitary cell, and powerful stories from those impacted by solitary confinement.

The event will be hosted by Cat Brooks, activist and host of KPFA’s Law & Disorder.

With a special remote appearance by Angela Y. Davis, this gathering brings together leading voices in the fight to abolish solitary confinement and exposes the psychological, physical, and systemic harms of isolation in U.S. prisons and detention centers.

Arrive early to experience the Journey to Justice bus, including a model solitary cell, immersive VR experiences, and a powerful photo and storytelling space.
