1:08 – Governor Gavin Newsom has allowed the transfer of two immigrants, a Belizean domestic violence survivor named Patti Waller, and a Vietnamese refugee named Tien Pham, into ICE custody on August 31. Now, after incarceration, the two have to fight their deportations. Sarah Lee is with Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus. Nate Tan is with the Asian Prisoner Support Committee and has known Tien Pham inside San Quentin for 5 years before he was transferred to ICE on Monday.
