The state of Nebraska just eliminated the death penalty in their state, making Nebraska the first red state, since South Dakota in 1973, to abolish capital punishment. We speak to Adrea Lyon, about what exactly is keeping the death penalty alive in the United States when the vast majority of western, industrialized nations have done away with the controversial act.
