Zoltan is a geographer and professor of Indigenous Studies and interethnic relations, and has Jewish-Catholic family roots in Hungary. He studies the intersections of ethnic nationhood, militarism, and natural resources. When the Eastern Bloc broke up in the early ‘90s, he was a professional cartographer, making maps of the how the borders were changing.
