Brooks and Jeserich also talk with Zainab Chaudry, spokeswoman for the Council on American Islamic Relations, about the shocking weekend slaying of Virginia high school student Nabra Hassanen. Civil Rights advocates wish to investigate her killing as a possible hate crime.

Finally they interview Melvin Goodman, former senior analyst and division chief at the CIA, about his new book “Whistleblower at the CIA: An Insider’s Account of the Politics of Intelligence.” In his book, Goodman offers an insider’s account of the corruption that takes place within the CIA. Goodman will host a KPFA event at First Presbyterian Church in Berkeley tonight at 7 p.m.
