The talk was presented by KPFA on May 4th of 2017, discussing his then-latest book, Stamped From the Beginning: A Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America. Since this talk, he was named on Time’s 2020 list of 100 Most Influential People, and in 2021 received a MacArthur Genius award.
