The senate held a rare Sunday debate on the next evolution of the US Patriot Act. It’s called the Freedom Act of 2015 and it includes the provision that authorizes the bulk collection of phone records. This has stirred up controversy in Washington DC and even appears to be polarizing members of the same political parties.
