0:52 – KPFA News: The Academic Senate at all University of California campuses voted to ask the UC Regents to divest from all holdings in the Carbon Underground 200. These are the 200 publicly traded fossil fuel companies with the highest carbon reserves. Thursday at the UC Regents meeting, the Chair of the UC Academic Senate says he submitted a memorial to the Office of the President, so that she may present it to the Regents. KPFA’s Sean Flannelly reports.
