We spend an hour discussing a story of turning trauma and torture into healing and growth. We talked to Hector Aristizábal, a Colombian activist who suffered torture at the hands of the US-supported military regime in his country. Through his work, Hector was able to heal and channel his energy into constructive social action. He has worked everywhere, from Colombia to Afghanistan to the Tenderloin in San Francisco.
Guest:
Hector Aristizábal, Colombian-born psychotherapist, theater artist, activist and co-author of The Blessing Next to the Wound: A Story of Art, Activism, and Transformation
