1:22 – KPFA News: California has identified two cases of the South African coronavirus variant in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the findings today during a trip to Fresno to tout the state’s efforts to vaccinate people. The presence of the new virus variants come as COVID-19 infection rates, cases and hospitalizations continue to go down. KPFA’s Christina Aanestad reports.
