Robert Reich (@RBReich) is Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley. He has served in three national administrations and has written fifteen books, his latest is The System: Who Rigged It, How We Fix It.

1:08 – KPFA News: The Electoral College has voted to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as President and Vice President of the United States. The outcome was never very uncertain, but but the vote marks a milestone, leaving little opportunity for President Donald Trump to overturn the results. California cast the deciding electoral votes Monday afternoon. KPFA’s Christopher Martinez reports.

1:13 – Healthcare workers at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley go on 1-day strike to protest under-staffing, inadequate equipment, and management during the pandemic.

Jennifer Lemke has worked at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley as a respiratory therapist for 33 years. She’s also shop steward for Teamsters Local 856.
