Bassist Jeff Denson and his trio, with pianist Dan Zemelman and drummer Alan Hall, have just returned from a European tour with alto saxophone master Lee Konitz (who also appears on the new CD, “Jeff Denson Trio + Lee Kontiz).” A native of Arlington, Virginia, with degrees from the Berklee College of Music, Florida State University, and UC San Diego, Denson is a full professor at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley.
