Guitarist Kinloch Nelson performs Live on The Hear and Now

In the first hour, fingerstyle guitarist Kinloch Nelson makes his Bay Area radio concert debut and talks with host Derk Richardson about his under-the-radar career. Tompkins Square Records recently released a collection of tracks recorded 1968 – 1970 and coaxed Nelson to the West Coast for a few rare performances. Listen to Nelson apply his stunning virtuosity to original pieces and renditions of “Sleep Walk” and “Diamond Joe.” In the second hour–more guitar music (Kendra Amalie, Mokai, Mimi Fox, Bruce Cockburn), plus a new song by Nashville songwriter Gary Nicholson and Patricia Barber’s version of “Autumn Leaves.”
