And later we speak with Fire Captain Randall West about the Black FireFighters Event – “Chief Is My Belief!” This event was created in 2012 for middle and high-school students which highlights some of the legacies of African-American Firefighters.

Losaline Moa: senior at Skyline High School, Oakland Youth Advisory Commissioner, Reimagining Public Safety Task Force Member, and Co-Chair of the Youth Advisory Board

Brooklyn Williams: Reimagining Public Safety Task Force Member, Co-Founder of the Oakland Police-Community Youth Leadership Council – which helps bring youth voice to the work of improving public safety

Randall West is a Fire Captain at Alameda County Fire Department.
