On todays show, the Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission is embroiled in controversy over a Gaza Ceasefire Resolution and Israeli Arms Embargo, we will speak to community organizer Luchi B, with Bay Area Divest, along with the the founder of Yalla Berkeley Noor B, supporting Palestine and working closely with the Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission.
Then, we’re joined by Tongo Eisen-Martin is the San Francisco Poet Laureate. He’ll appear at a poetry event called “Rhymes for Reform” on Tuesday September 17 at 7pm, part of “KQED’s MindShift for an interactive creative journey for families, exploring how poetry can inspire and help us communicate our collective vision for the future of education. Through poetry activities and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to share their hopes and ideas for change in schools.”
Our Resistance in Residence Artist this week is multi-hyphenated artist, actress, producing director, playwright, poet, dramaturg, performance consultant, educator, and community advocate Ayodele Nzinga. Ayodele is also Oakland’s poet laureate.
