Dr. Jess Ghannam, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Global Health Sciences in the School of Medicine at UCSF is one the faculty who have accused the UC system of suppressing pro-Palestine speech on its campuses. The charge evolved from an earlier complaint filed on behalf of students and faculty at UCLA who were violently assaulted by over 100 armed counter protestors and then brutalized the following by LAPD and UCPD, leading to over 200 arrests. Dr. Ghannam and his colleagues filed their latest Unfair Labor Practices charge with the National Labor Relations Board on Thursday.
