Today, our fund drive special focuses on prisons and mass incarceration. We start off with our weekly State Terror Roundup, then we go to a speech from Michelle Alexander, and finally, we end with a letter from inside San Quentin Prison, sent directly to us.

FUND DRIVE SPECIAL – Pledge $120 and receive W. Kamau Bell’s The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. This book has spawned a whole generation of criminal justice reform activists. This tenth-anniversary edition has a new preface by Michelle Alexander discusses the impact the book and the state of the criminal justice reform movement today.
