Law & Disorder

Criminalized survivors and the need for Abolition Feminism w/ Leigh Goodmark; plus Resistance in Residence artist Leigh Rondon-Davis

On today’s show, in honor of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month we revisit this conversation about how intimate partner violence can’t be addressed through a carceral system with Leigh Goodmark, abolitionist lawyer and author of Imperfect Victims: Criminalized Survivors and the Promise of Abolition Feminism.

This week, our Resistance in Residence artist in Leigh Rondon-Davis (they/them) is a performer, dramaturg, director, and producer; in addition to their creative work, Leigh is on staff as part of Crowded Fire Theater’s shared leadership team as the Leader of Artistic Curation & Marketing, where they are also a Resident Artist.
