New Police Killings in Oakland and Berkeley; Indigenous Solidarity with Palestine; Plus Resistance in Residence Artist Tiffani Marie

Both Berkeley and Oakland police have killed people this week. We start today’s show in Berkeley, in conversation with Alecia Harger, Bay Area and activist and member of Berkeley Copwatch as well as the anti-police terror project. Then we go to Oakland in conversation with James Burch, Deputy Director for the Anti Police-Terror Project.

Then, we’re in conversation about San Francisco police funding Tim Redmond, founder of 48hills. Tim Redmond has been a political and investigative reporter in San Francisco for more than 30 years. He spent much of that time as executive editor of the Bay Guardian.

Then we’ll spend time on an upcoming indigenous solidarity with Palestine rally, in conversation with George Galvis, the Co-founder and executive director of Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice, along with Morning Star Gali.

This week’s Resistance in Residence Artist is rapper, barber, fashion designer, documentary filmmaker, podcast host, professor, and mother, Tiffani Marie. She is the band leader of Artelia Green & The Bandanas.
